    Day 4  :  MAWENZI TARN CAMP [4330M] - KIBO HUT [4700M]


    On the fourth day, we'll continue our ascent to the 15,510 ft./4,700 m summit of Kibo Hut. As we traverse over the Kibo Saddle, we'll be surrounded by an alpine desert landscape, with only a few types of grass and plant species able to survive in this harsh environment. Finally, we'll arrive at the Kibo Hut, where we'll take some time to rest and mentally prepare for the midnight summit stage. So buckle up, and let's begin this incredible adventure together!     Day 5  :  KIBO HUT [4700M] - UHURU PEAK [5895M]-HOROMBO


    The trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro is a challenging and rewarding journey that requires careful preparation and planning. On the fifth day of your six-day Rongai Route ascent, you will awaken at around 23:30 to begin your summit attempt. You will start your journey from Kibo Hut, which sits at an altitude of 4,700 meters, and make your way to the summit of Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa. From Uhuru Peak, you will begin your descent to Horombo Hut, which is located at an altitude of 3,720 meters. The trek from Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut is approximately 6 kilometres and takes around 6 hours. This is a challenging descent, as the altitude can cause fatigue and exhaustion, but with the support of your guide and porters, you will make steady progress. At Horombo Hut, you will have the opportunity to rest and refuel before continuing your journey back to Marangu Gate on the next day
